There have been some reported issues with beta 3 for coldfusion 9 and object serialization when using the flash memory.  These have been resolved and are on SVN or the nightly build.  We have also solved several other pending issues on unix based system and addressed them not only on the core but on all the sample applications and on the coldbox dashboard.

Due to the amount of fixes and updates we have resolved, we will be releasing an updated beta 3 build this Friday.  So expect another mini-release this Friday to address these issues and also get some goodies.

Did you ever release this update? It doesn't seem to be in the published download (at least the build number is the same as the last released download.)

I was, but I retracted. I am preparing a another milestone release by next week anyways, so I had to hold back on just re-releasing it.

Luis, Thanks. I'm back to working on a complete re-write in ColdBox. I haven't actually run into any issues yet, so I hate to just keep merging in nightlies. I'd prefer to keep to milestones at this point, so I knew there was suppose to have been another release and just never saw it! Thanks again. I'll be on the look out for the next milestone.

12 days of BoxLang - Day 3: SocketBox!

As BoxLang continues evolving into a modern, high-performance, JVM-based runtime, real-time communication becomes essential for the applications we all want to build: dashboards, collaboration tools, notifications, live feeds, multiplayer features, and more.

That’s where SocketBox steps in — the WebSocket upgrade listener built to work seamlessly with CommandBox and the BoxLang MiniServer. ⚡

Today, for Day 3, we’re highlighting how SocketBox supercharges BoxLang development by giving you fast, flexible, and framework-agnostic WebSocket capabilities.
